lol i do not have a phone for this reason among others .... ie my life and time are my own. Its a great tool but like most tools its horribly abused.
While i may care about my family enough to do so, once you have one everyone expects to instantly get a hold of you.

That is true. Especially when you have a 9-5 and little time of your own. Personally, people tend to spend a lot of time on their phone and I'm not talking apps. My nephew is the biggest time suck. He'll call me and continue talking ad nauseum and I'll look at the time and two hours has passed of him talking about an anime he watched or something he watched on YT... That's like 60 pages of a book I could have been reading, which for modern literature is almost half a book.

I am busy...
watching anime to text back. I won't be looking at my phone for the next 6-7 hr if I am watching something. My friends and family know if I don't answer back fast I am watching anime or playing games. I usually answer the moment I get a new message if i am not doing anything. Also if I am just hanging out with other people.
