this was in reference to Momo being added to twice. ( would say both the additions)


As evil as it sounds i am going with the rigging of pd 48.
Mostly because i am convinced Sakura was not going to make it thru votes.
And the group would never have worked with out Sakura it would have been just too big a slap in the face for the whole AKS group and Japan.
Mnet still had to do business in Japan.
When they made the decision to rig the show mid week, I am convinced Sakura was at or near the bottom similar to how Xiaoting was in gp999.

That one call made a group that's impact is so far reaching, and i in no way believe swapping in Kaeun and Chowon for what was likely 2 j line members would have had a group that worked anywhere near as well.

but hey i am willing to discuss

I didn't watch any of that show but Izone would not have been the same without Sakura.... and no LSFM.

She was far and away the most pushed J girl on the show, it would have been catastrophic to the producers for her to not be in the group.

We know who was out(Kaeun and Chowon at 5, and 6) but not who was in. The police said they would not release the final voting tally's. Or the factual girls ranks. Presumably to stop hate on the girls who did get rigged in. That didnt help much it just kinda spread it around to say 5 or 6 members ie whomever teh person posting thought was "worst".
I really do believe Wonyoung was number 1 she just had the whole package of great editing and stunning looks that seems to work well.
And since the voting was only from Koreans is safe to say. She has consistently been the top rated member in Korea even until now.

That's interesting.
I would have thought that the girls that didn't make it (but otherwise would have) might have had a civil case against the producers due to the income/career they lost by not getting in...

oh they did get paid. Each got a members share from mnet for the full run of IZ*ONE. And i think there was a penalty.
OFC the agencies still got their cut also so pledis and cube made out.

since you thought of the issue because of fdonce and 16
the "good" about the 16 survival show is that jyp literally said (again I could be wrong) 50% of the contestants will get in by popular vote aand the other half will be chosen by him???? or 50% of the public votes will be counted and the other 50% will be determined by the producers???

which means the producer reserves the right to ultimately determine who gets in since they have the other 50% voting power

in pd48 that's where they made their mistake by claiming to the general public that their voting will determine it all
I have no issue with the producers of a survival show determining how and who and which groups are to be formed and concepts etc etc but then don't tell the public one thing and do another

They should have done what JYP did. 6 spots are viewer votes and 3 are producers choice. This would have avoided 90% of the drama.

Oh i agree, the problem is with the one pick mentality late.
The entire reality show deal is really based of of the AKB voting. But that is a song and by and large the AKB members are interchangeable and the music doesn't really demand superior vocal or dance.

I like many of the options people have brought up over time.
Reserving the right to structure. If that is like hey we are going to golden ticket some in if we want. or say we are picking x#
Always the voters are voting for 80% of the total so they are thinking about the team they create. (ie if 9 they vote for 7 12 pick 10 ect)

Sure some will throw votes to undercut or inflate 'bad' members. It needs to a large enough number of people that something like gp 999 does not happen where you want to vote for your picks but have to pick some from each column. That is just asking for what happened to Kep1er where none of the implied premise of the show worked.
