So while I was planning to just post the winners from Gaon, what was brought to my attention while it was going on is that while the streams were pretty normal there was a noticeable difference in downloads from last year so here are 2018s winners downloads at that time.

They match each month from January to November since December is given out weirdly and a lot of these results are halved in downloads or even more in some cases so reaching 2M could be just a little bit tricky now.​

Really has to be that as Akmus song was huge and it only got 605k since September while Solo got more than that while being released in November.

but yeah I think some stuff has changed. Maybe preferences are different now.

Doesn't Gaon do something like count the 30-31 days from the release of the song, and the starting month is the qualifier?
Ie if i release on Aug 28 they will count until sept 27-28 for that month and if i have to most of all the Aug releases i win.

if 200k is winning a month wow....
Maybe it coincides with the hit melon took in April - May what i have jokingly called the bts curse. but is more like the chart fixing deal.
But after that DL drop like a rock.

Maybe the artificial position boosting is way more prevalent than we thought and its all based on streaming now.
does seem like a paradigm shift... dangit cuz Rv (well many of my groups actually)and the fans sucks at streaming for the most part :)

Yeah they count 30 days worth of data which is why they can't give December out since they started doing the awards in January
