If you've unstanned a group, do you ever miss stanning them?
Bcs I miss BTS every now and again.

Sometimes when I tell ppl this they go, why? BTS are still very much here, it was your own choice, stop complaining, but....
BTS aren't the BTS I used to stan.

The music is different, the boys are different and the fandom is different.
And I miss what they used to be.

It's to the point that I can't even listen to their old songs that I adore anymore, bcs I will just get bitter over them not being what I like anymore.
And while I don't hold it against them for going the way they did, it still fucking hurts that what they are now, isn't something I stan.

and I miss the BTS that used to be.

It is the case for a lot of groups I used to stan including jpop ones. But sometimes I unstan one and restan it after one or two comebacks

BTS used to be my ult group but I stopped listening to them as much any more. My honeymoon phase is over. I miss them sometimes since I don't laugh as hard at them anymore, I don't love them like I used to. And some of it's on me because I'm not listening to their new releases, but I do miss them.

I haven't stanned Brown Eyed Girls in a while. They're always on my playlist, but I don't try to keep up with them or anything. Miss them because I loved their music. I am trying to listen to Gain's solo stuff.

I've never unstanned any groups.


I've never experienced quite what you have.

But to a small extent I do feel some of those feelings with GFRIEND's music.

I'm a Buddy. And I still Stan them. They were never my top stanning tier (only SNSD and TWICE are that for me). Always my 2nd tier but still a very well loved group by me.

With them, I'm not as into their new music. My emotional connection is still with their older material. Rough, Navillera, Fingertip, Flower Garden. Those eras are to this day, "GFRIEND" to me.

I still love them and keep up with their releases. And I still am a Buddy.

But the connection with their music isn't really there anymore.

But for me I don't consider myself to have unstanned. They're more just.... In standby for me until I connect again (hopefully).

If all else fails I can just watch Eunha farming vegetables at the orchard over and over again. That literally never gets old for me. Eunha Happiness.

The closest I have to this is groups I don't listen to much anymore.. I still stan, but don't listen to much anymore. The groups have either went on hiatus, disbanded or aren't very active.

Sort of... I’ve unstanned Winner and Got7 (and am thinking about unstanning another group ). I sometimes miss when I was excited to be a stan of theirs, especially with Winner. Like when you’re checking out their new music I’m not very excited about it anymore because I didn’t like the direction either of them were taking so I miss them releasing a lot of music that I once liked a lot. Yeah I get that exact same feeling... Like I know I don't want to stan them as they are now.

I know how you feel. Dreamcatcher changing their main sound have me in some kind of irrational nostalgia. Irrational because it's not confirmed that they truly changed it permanently. I'm just stuck listening to their rock stuff and avoiding the rest.

lowkey same about bts. I used to really love them during debut till I need you and than slowley a shift happened. Ghey just aren’t doing what I wanted from them musically, the boys really changed too and the whole vibe of the fandom is so different.

I was a fan of BTS in my early days. When I was starting to stan boy groups (April 2016) but that changed in 2017

I haven’t unstanned anyone, I don’t think I could ever unstan bp. But I have found myself losing interest in twice. Idk I don’t listen to their music, even their title tracks I think I got burnt out with all of the constant comebacks in 2018 that twice coming back just wasn’t exciting anymore, especially because of the direction of music they were heading towards. I really enjoy the mature concept that they were headed for, but I feel like it needs to be polished more. Like, I feel like I’m still listening to a cute concept even though twice could be going for a more mature concept. I still love the girls, especially mina, and I don’t think I would unstan them. I’m just waiting for their next comeback.

I thought they just aren't at the top of my fave groups list anymore and bcs of how much I love Suga I am not gonna unstan.
But eventually I got to a point that I really didn't care about what BTS was doing and only really... wanted to know about Suga.

That’s unfortunate. Bts’ most recent album wasn’t my favorite but I loved Everything before that, especially love yourself tear. I think bts changing was inevitable, they’re in a completely different market now with a different style of music. I personally listen to western music and kpop equally so I can see where they were trying to come from musically. But I didn’t enjoy their new album though, because I felt as though all of the tracks blended in with each other and I think the tracks were way more poppier then I expected. I was hoping that the album would sound like black swan. At least jungkooks solo, my time, was what I was expecting the album to sound like. That’s probably why it’s my favorite song off of the album.
