I think privilege has much more to do with economic status than race/gender/whatever else. You would never say a white family at the poverty line working minimum wage is more privileged than will smith’s family, would you, even though they’re black?

A poor white man has greater opportunities for advancement and success than his counterpart of color. He's more likely to get a loan, get a job even though both are equally capable, less likely to face backlash for existing traits outside of his control like skin color, name, hair texture etc

A white man is not going to be white due to his race, nor his ancestor's racial background. A black man, however, will.
