Beyond the Kwangya (NEW! SM hijinks corner) :

• I use TMIkpop on Twt to follow the latest!
• Hybe's tender offer closes today (i.e. the amount to purchase shares). It's also the deadline for filing for any additional filings about the injunction (i.e. blocking the Kakao purchase).
• Kakao Entertainment says based on Hybe's actions they will need to revise their strategy towards SM by consulting with their HQ. They say they have entered into a positive agreement and that Hybe's claims are creating confusing by distorting the contracts. The market believes they are laying the plan to launch their own tender offer.
• Analysts believe that funding from the main HQ would allow them to offer a higher tender offer.
• Hybe responded by asking Kakao to clarify its intentions on management rights. The analysis provided in the investor call on Feb. 21 implied they did not intend to manage, which is unusual in this situation.

• We still don't know what brand Taeyong is repping in Paris Fashion Week. No news of him leaving yet, so seems unlikely he's at the first day shows like Dior and Saint Laurent. Shows run to the 5th with brands later in the week like Rick Owens, Loewe and the brand always showing on his chonies, Balenciaga.

• Winwin will be at the Valentino show in Paris Fashion Week on March 5.

Cross-Unit (including Rookies):

• NEW PHOTOSHOOT: Sungchan and Shotaro for Numero Uno in Japan. They look amazeballs.

• Streets are saying NCT Tokyo will have 9 members and the rest are Japanese. Take this with a very large grain of salt since no unit after 127 has been that large. (FWIW, I do think there are a few more members and they will be Japanese but not that many.)

Biggest Hit on This Stage (Charts, Awards, Milestones):

• Candy reached 30M on Spotify. 🍾
• On the Melon charts, Candy is still at #13, Ay-Yo still at #79.
• ROAD TO 100M 🏃‍♂️ Baby don't Stop 97.3M, Hot Sauce 96M

DYK Jaehyun has the most monthly listeners on Spotify with 1.7M. Taeyong is the only other member over 1M!
