didn't come really that much of a surprise, I mean Irene seems to be more of the sensitive type that would easily lose her temper whatever she means it or not and doesn't really notice it :/

^also this, i'm sure most of us have experienced unknowingly losing our temper, raising our voice or whatever and someone else had to point it out.

This is the most damaging part to be honest plus the fact that everyone defending Seulgi kind of makes Irene look worse in comparison imo....

I'm honestly just glad that Idols don't upload apology videos like youtubers do, just saves a bunch of embarrassment, I also saw on reddit that the stylist had a recording of what Irene said and this is basically just a apology cuz she got caught

Like many others are feeling right now, I am rather disappointed in her behaviour towards this individual. However, I am not disappointed by the 'revelation' that she isn't a god-like figure, that doesn't have any flaws.
Shouldn't we all know by now, that idols aren't the flawless people that we wish they were?

Whatever went down that day is between the two parties involved, and the severity shouldn't be up for speculation. Likewise, anything that hasn't been officially confirmed (regarding supposed other staff, and even speculating how she treats her members?), shouldn't be used towards condemning her.
Condemn her for her behaviour towards this stylist. However, don't paint Irene in a way that none of us (as k-pop fans) know....

I truly hope that she does reflect on this, and I also hope that it's a rare incident. As this stylist and many more staff have praised Irene's attitude in the past.
But regardless of what has happened. I will continue supporting her and Red Velvet, because I don't expect them to be flawless, and I accept that they (like you and I) can have their moments....

That's all I have to say on the matter, though. And I hope that others won't make speculations on matters that haven't been officially confirmed by all parties involved.

The situation would be one thing if it was just this stylist but with other people who have worked under SM piling on it's gonna reflect badly on her character and they also made sure to keep Seulgi out of it too so while we won't know what truly went on however it paints a pretty damning picture of her.

i understand that all idols are only human and we all have bad days sometimes but the description sounds like it's much more than that. i can't even imagine what must have been going on there for her to call it the worst experience of her 15 years long career. this like many other situations just goes on to show that we never know what these idols are really like and what they show on camera can be different from their actual personalities. i love red velvet, but none of us know the members personally and most likely never will so i hope people don't start defending irene as if it's any different this time even though i know they will. after all i just hope this never happens again and i want to say that i'm glad she owned up to this mistake but then again who knows if she would apologise if it wasn't for the fact that there's a recording of what she did.

Is there? This would be a pretty poor tactic by SM as they kinda just ruined her reputation if this sticks so what would SM do with her if she resigns in that case?

Tbh I wouldn't care if it was just a one off incident, there's a history of celebrities being abusive to coworkers and other people, and while it's nowhere close to something that should be normalized, it happens. Sometimes we have bad days, trouble controlling our temper and lash out.

But what's more worrying is so many of SM's ex staff, backup dancers, even editors of magazines like GQ and Marie Claire basically supporting the original claims, which suggests to Irene being a repeat offender. I'm not gonna cancel her or anything but def no sympathy for her.

Hopefully this doesn't affect the rest of the RV members.
