well maybe sometimes I do understand them and sometimes I don't - sometimes that's on me not understanding them and sometimes that's on you for not explaining it well enough - we are both at fault no?
I've said it to you before my friend communication is hard even in person - two people having the same conversation can have very different interpretations of the same conversation and we are on the internet where all forms of non-verbal language is lost (such as body language and tones and mannerisms) plus the fact that English may not be everybody's first language

and I will also add that even if someone understands something doesn't necessarily imply they agree with what is said.

Hvg learnt sthg of selfie's earlier life - I believe the dissonance between cat, duck, panda, & selfie(human) may be cultural(n not zoological): I had 2 brothers(3 males including myself) n while I nvr experienced the same, in stories(tb n movies frex) siblings typically rule-lawyered by saying I'm not touching her (usually the sister) by approaching the siblings head asymptotically ie close enough to bother the younger (usually) sibling during a car trip typically, where there's no escape especially as kids would be in back seat n parents dont police/control 'em initially. This leads to upgraded threats from the parents saying "if it doesn't stop I'll turn the car around" n we won't be going to disneyland or sthg else threatening/escalating to prevent more hi-jinks. Maybe selfie understands words aren't a reliable defense but I don't hv his past experience except on a different scale. I'm not discussing my experience further on KS(in this thread or elsewhere other than already discussed); but discord or other method is possible.

PS who is BS? N why no bunny KS user? Too tainted an animal currently/previously?

PPS I'm just hvg popcorn reading the to n fro of cat/duck/panda/selfie n trinny(unaffiliated with animal kingdom unless human being LOL 😆 I'm always too late (mostly) to join the discussion when most interesting/worth my while to interject my neutral/observer/Watcher commentary

1stly BS is @TrinityJade - I once showed her a really really old song called "There's a Hole in my bucket" coupled with the fact that I've told her not to take anything I say seriously aka take it with a grain of salt so those two things together came up with my nickname for her Buckets of Salk aka BS lol

I don't but I hv particularly strong reaction/thought on words vs violence; i believe violent tendencies aren't mitigated/effective in regards to violent people from experience(limited I grant) but I could be wrong, maybe most people or many people listen to words instead of resorting to violence ie this thread saying many words yet selfie only responds/reacts to bonking(all in fun) but I had to comment my perspective. I'm no-jaem(no-fun) & also a stickler/nit picker. Don't mind me spoiling all yr fun bickering/bantering in a friendly way.

Don't blame cats for being efficient hunters when it's people who breed them and let them outside, try flooding nature with hunting dogs and see what happens! I'd wager every small animal in the region would be gone, including cats and a few human children.

Cats raised in the same manner as dogs are every bit as affectionate, the only difference is that cats require love in return where a dog does not. Same can be said for most domesticated animals.

but it's feral cats that are the issue
obviously one can try to pinpoint who was the first person that introduced feral cats into any region and "crucify" them but it doesn't solve the particular issue of feral cats being an intrusive species no?

with all due respect to that user...nothing I said was an "attack" on BS
my comments were all directed towards the issue being "cats/feral cats" etc

I rarely engage in ad hominem attacks against a user (again on purpose and not out of jest) and try to focus solely on the discussion at hand
I question the opinions of the person who made the comments and try to provide factual logical and substantive basis to back up my own comments

No, I absolutely agree that feral cats are devastating to the environment and that's why I always tell people to keep them inside which is safer for the cats too. People will say it's natural for cats to be outside but forget that we don't live in a natural world, the average lifespan of an outdoor cat is less than half that of an indoor one.

What I disagreed with is the overall negative attitude towards cats in the discussion to follow, not necessarily because you're factually incorrect but because I see a lot of genuine cat hate on the internet and I think they get an undeserved bad rap for doing exactly what they've been bred to do and the constant "jokes" that cats are violent and unloving gets tiring when it's so far from the truth.
Like I said before they are every bit as loving when raised in a similar fashion to dogs but so many people throw them outside and allow them to be independant and then act surprised when they don't take to you the way the dog you keep inside, take for walks and play with does.

Your comments only served as a catalyst for me to vent my frustrations about the situation as a whole and wasn't personal.

I will profess that I have no particular love nor hate towards cats in general - I'm ambivilent
