I wasn't that surprised that Russia won, but I wasn't expecting Simone to pull out. With her they might have had a chance but without it was an easy victory for Russia. I wonder what'll happen for finals, Simone said she'd be back but we'll see how she does then ig

wdym she pulled out? of the competition at the Olympics or?

Out of the session, she didn't compete at all for the rest of the team final. She said she's planning on competing on Thursday though.

was there a specific reason for that

I think they said mental stuff? She majorly messed up on the one event she did compete so that sounds reasonable.

oh yeah thats definitely reasonable, get herself back into a good mindset to pull off her routines

Crippled the team but.

the point swing was crazy.

Seems like Russia has always had prettier dancing / artistry but the us goes the power route.

Yeah, but ngl I prefer the power route. It makes for more interesting routines imo.

its more dynamic but its a judged sport.....
and old school judges seem to lean the other way.

For sure, sometimes it seems like people mistake artistry for execution based on some scores
