Haha it's true. Nugu companies I think tend to play it safe a lot.

I mean MyDoll treats Pink fantasy better than most nugus treat their idols
but nugu companies... they will be forgiven for a group not having much promotions, bcs welll.... they don't have the money for it. Cheap outfits can be forgiven, big gaps between comebacks can be forgiven etc etc.

True. And yes, for big companies/popular groups, I often see backlash if every member is dressed the same, which is understandable. For smaller groups, they just sometimes can't afford that luxury.

The same reason SM still has diehard stans and YGE still has some delusional bots fans out there: kpop stans cannot differentiate the product, the face and the company.

Jinyoung Park is a very likeable man(1) who makes likable products (+2) which means JYPE is a likable company (=4)

Lee Sooman isn't a public figure but still has diehard worshipers too. I'm sure 98% of them don't know he was once wanted by Interpol but I digress. SM stans use the SMTOWN bond and vocal talent to excuse things SME has done to their artists over and over

The bubble just hasn't burst for JYP stans yet. Same with BigHit stans

I feel like rookie idols shouldn't date, but hear me out.

From a business perspective, it's just smarter not to date. Fans who go delulu when their faves date are insane for sure, but from the company's perspective, I don't see it as THAT bad. One, it helps rookie idols focus on their careers more, and two, it's to prevent them from losing fans. I do see how it intrudes on their private lives, but at the same time, their job should come over romance when they're rookies.

So as for Junhyeok, who was my Day6 bias, as much as I love and respect him to bits and pieces, he broke a rule and he should have to pay for it. I'm not justifying the whole "dating" culture of the KPOP industry, but he blatantly broke a rule. Had he broken any other rule and gotten kicked out, people would not have cared, but because it's dating, people do. People who break rules have to face the consequences, whether you agree with the rules being in place or not.

Sure they gave Mina time off when she needed it.... but fucking TS gave time off to Yongguk when things got bad enough! Nevermind the fact that JYP overworking Twice so much most likely heavily contributed to her developing a problem.

1 thing tho: JYP didn't give Mina time off because she needed it.
JYP had no choice but to let Mina out when she mentally and physically could not bring herself on stage anymore

There really is no good company, it’s more about which company has the least amount of backlash and scandals. Not even a month ago, I was talking about how great BlockBerry Creative was because of all the times we saw LOONA eat on camera. Now, there’s information coming out that some of the girls had all their snacks taken away during a photo shoot, they had to map out all the places to get food wherever they were staying. It’s really how a company keeps their image.

JYP has so much dirt on them as any other company.
How they treated Jay and blacklisted him for a while is a no (and no one even talks about that); how they lacked smarts and runied Wonder Girls with starting the american promotions and thus made them loose all the momentum in korea, favoritism with Miss A and how they always were so sidelined, how JYP literally is fat shaming his girls ( just saying Sixteen was not cute from him. the way he talked about Jihyo still get's to me) and there is much more.
