It just comes down to access and Kpop is the most accessible as it actually adjusted to the interest of Western fans for better and worse as if you had tried to find English content on Kpop around the 2008s then you'd have had a hard job like people do now with Jpop and Cpop
I was about to post this same thing. Kpops roots is in Western music and that alone makes it easier to get into for Westerners.

1) Kpop had 15-20 years ahead of Cpop. Modern Cpop like the examples you have given are modeled after Kpop.

2) Kpop is more accessible online because Korea isn’t a authoritarian regime that censors its populace access to the worldwide web. Chinese censorship creates a parallel Chinese media and thus pop culture sphere that is heavily cut off from the wider world.

3)There is more incentive for Korean govt and business to expand outside of the country because they literally have to in order to make profit. Cpop has billions of people within mainland China and then millions more within the Chinese cultural sphere

4) I may be wrong but I’m sure Koreas economy developed sooner then China. Thus giving Korean popular culture more time to grow and spread. Korea is also on much nicer terms with the West who controls most of the world tech and pop culture outlets.

Well it can be especially with Jpop as you can Google EXIDs original Japanese MVs and you'll only find the full MV for B.L.E.S.S.E.D out of the 3 they have done and the other 2 are just short versions with the full MV being part of the album
Japan is a closed shop as you said even the kpop stuff is hard to get.

ok so i was researching shit and i come across cpop mvs
we all know people much rather talk kpop than cpop but WHY
WHY IS THAT?

Lots of people here love anime or are studying Kanji just for fun, generally speaking ... yes, there is some certain racism based on stereotypes of "Chinese eat dogs, China is an evil country" etc.
May be true for China [although the dog myth was spread in Korea as well and was only true for a minority of the upper class], but non China territories like Hong Kong and Taiwan don't have that much visibility either. However, if you look at Vietnamese or Khmer music neither of those have reached that much prominence and both have been ravaged by communism. A key concept of communism is censorship and demonization. Japan and SK have a much less contentious relationship with the west than China does.

In addition, to act like K-Pop is really popular in the west is just illogical. K-Pop has had similar surges of popularity in the west as it is having now, but it eventually dies down. Another thing to consider is the music itself. K-Pop itself is very western. The artists' inspiration tend to rely on 90s to 00s r&b. Whitney and Mariah are major influences. Even on survival shows, they have dance routines that are based around English-Language western music, such as Kisses Down Low, which wasn't even that good of a song, but I digress..

Another reason people like it a lot is because of its innocence in relation to modern western pop music. While K-Pop can be suggestive in themes, if it goes beyond a limit (e.g. Rainism) there are issues. When rap [a genre that is popular worldwide] is used it is not used in the same way that it is in the west. Most idols will rap about love, heartbreak, and similar things. Most rappers in the west will rap about Money, Drugs, sex, and violence. While there are exceptions most rappers that gain attention are rapping about these topics. Even in the golden age of Hip Hop these topics were frequent. Thus, people who like the style of rap, but not the content may be more inclined to like k-pop.

1) Accessibility: You can find some stuff but speaking from experience a video may be there one day and disappears the next especially on YouTube. YT isn't supposed to be used in China its "banned" but a lot of people and companies get around that by using VPNs and stuff. But sometimes YT can get weird, like Rocket Girls posted on their channel videos of the members singing solos and a few days after the videos were taken down but were still on FB. They also didn't post all of their mvs to YT and fans uploaded them.

2) Politics: There would be a lot of Sinophobia towards a full group of Chinese idols and they'd face a lot more flack government officials in certain countries...*cough*americanpoliticianswouldgonuts*cough* Also, people might be turned off or creeped out by idols all repeating the same phrase or sentiment in support of the government. All the post supporting the police during the height of the Hong Kong protests were blatantly propaganda and scripted.

3) I would argue cpop just isn't as polished as kpop is yet. The talent there and the music is getting there but as far as promoting and developing foreign fan culture cpop is still catching up.
