this is a fresh review of everglow's debut "bon bon chocolat"
i know i'm late on this but i had to
i loved unique the song was...it seemed very experimental for kpop. it sounded more like an "artist" song than a generic kpop song. it also took me off guard because of the name of the song. i thought it would be a ballad.
i could tell the music video wasn't the most expensive, but it was done very well.
The girls were charismatic and the dancing was captivating (thanks to lia kim)
the costumes as well...the amount of odd ccombined with some of the current trends in kpop made it absolutely stunning
the entire thing seemed like something sm would have done if they did a girl crush concept, and i mean this as a compliment in the highest regard.

now the autotune. most times i hate autotune. it's a sign of weakness in my opinion. but this was done right. the whole song had this sort electronic, dark air to it and the autotune came in at just the right places to make the song even more edgy, if you well.
I can't wait to see them perform!

i have to say, it really feels like girl groups are going to be the big thing this year too if we keep up the stream of good releases.

When @Ozymandias told me there was autotune, I thought there would be a LOT, like one of those 2010 electronic dance songs lol.

But it's not that heavy, and it's done well. I liked the song actually

I even checked YouTube and JRE, Form of Therapy were both shook as well lmao.

seeing on who you have as badges this probably isn’t your normal style though

I don't love it, but I do like it. I'm gonna listen to their debut album sometime to give them a chance.

Its ok I guess, somewhere between liking and meh? I liked the chorus but other parts were kinda forgettable. The autotune wasn't as bad as people make it out to be but I honestly would've liked to hear their authentic voices more to get to know them.
