Appreciation let's appreciate the idol producers of kpop! (1 Viewer)

talk about your favourite idol producers in kpop (and drop a few songs of theirs)! i'll start:

woozi (svt): my man. he's written so many different songs that i love, for his group and even for other artists!

boa (soloist): what a queen. what an actual queen. i really wonder why she's left out of idol producer discussions so often!

jinyoung (ex-b1a4): man deserves all the hype for writing some excellent pop songs!

soyeon ((g)i-dle): i'll just let the music speak for itself rn

that's it for now, honourable mentions to ptg's hui (shine!), kino (spring snow!), and wooseok (he was legitimately insane for the game) - because i haven't listened to enough of their stuff as yet, sadly

Jonghyun for me ofc, it’s part of what made me like him so much. He had written lyrics from early in Shinees career. He went on to write and compose many songs, and was the first from SM to do a song for a YG artist when he wrote Breathe, one of his more well known songs.

i saw a short clip on twt once, it was cutee

Spoiler

tho the reason i didn't include jjong in the op was because i prefer lyricist jonghyun to producer jonghyun, and i'm going to make a separate thread on idol lyricists soon

That’s fair, I don’t know much about lyrics in kpop though there are some songs by him where I read the translation and where they really touch me
