Just from the introductions, i feel like Mamamoo and GI-DLE are there to win the show, they just have that confidence in their performance and approach. It kinda feels like other groups are there to try it out and get some screentime, not as interested or believing they might win the show.

Well i think the other groups have chance to prove themselves and it won't be interested if there is no twists, but so far i feel like these two are definitely forerunners.

Probably just boils down to how confident they are in their performances since for Bom who only recently came back and AOA this is their first time as 5 on TV and then add in the possibly daunting prospect of being against Mamamoo then it could leave some a bit shaken and off their game while Mamamoo are just gonna do their thing like always.

Sure, that's definitely part of it. AOA feels most nervous just to be in show and perform, they have apparently had quite long break and member losses so it feels like they have lost their confidence in the group. Park Bom is worried of her voice like she said, she knows it's not in best condition and that makes me bit uneasy as well. In other hand Mamamoo has performed tons and is known from their stable and superb performances so they feel rly relaxed. G-IDLE in other hand feels most hungry, they are youngest and have their career still ahead of them, and they do seem confident in their performances too.

Mamamoo's performance was too strong xd Maybe this is reason why usually the most popular group has the most bombastic stage in the end of the music shows- it would be hard for plp going to stage after that. Poor Bom, not easy place to go in.

EDIT: Though she did meet those expectations, it was rly nostalgic and outstanding performance

Before the performances I thought for some reason that the stages wouldn't be as big and just sth you see on regular music shows. Idk why I thought that, but the stages has just kept impressing me, it's good to have low expectations

I didn't know Soyeon had that big of role in G-IDLE, I knew she wrote some of the songs and was leader, but damn her role is on par of GD's or even more That's not necessarily only good thing though, i wonder if creates unbalance or discord in the group sometimes. But, it's still rly cool for member to be that invested.

They had the best outfits and make-up too xd It's bit interesting though, that although they did rly well they still feel like the youngest group, i think it's just the enthusiasm they portray even while performing.

I feel like Lovelyz and Oh my girl will be surprisingly funny groups in the show, and they did have great performances too. I'm still not sure how sexy outfits fit with A-choo, but remix was good. Well, AOA is funny group too I think all three are good for variety, though I still wish AOA manages to get some of their confidence back. I think they did bit with this performance anyways, rly nice to see how they are bringing the sexy girl group era back.

I think that's only the case when performing tho. If you see them in variety it's much more balanced and Soyeon is not the one who is crazy active

I was thinking while i she plays bigger role than gd when what they do is pretty similar, making songs and arranging remixes, being charge of recording and practice sessions, planning out stages.. but i think the difference is that all BB members are individually quite strong artists, they have their solo careers and they have say on performance and stuff too so GD's presence doesn't feel as big and overbearing. But i think G-IDLE's members can get there too, they do have many talented members- interesting voices, funny characters and so on.

Haven't they always been that though? The other members aren't bad performers by any means but Soyeon is on another level to them so they end up getting lost on stage behind her. As long as Cube doesn't do anything to make this worse though like only giving Soyeon opportunities for solos and stuff since you never know what someone can do until you put them to the task then it's not really a big deal.

Those cover songs in the end were big twist. I had no idea G-IDLE was going to pick Park Bom, I was sure they would go with Mamamoo. But tbh, choosing song from Park Bom gives them opportunity to make sth rly different from original song and performance, though they don't have lot to choose from if they only have her solos. When Lovelyz and Oh my girl will have hardest time to make those covers their own. I'm worried of them, and also worried of Park Bom, she's going to need lot of arrangement to make G-IDLE song fit her, but it has potential to be great and different like with G-IDLE's Park Bom cover. And she's saying she will bring rapper, what if it's CL?? That would be awesome, i might even cry.

She raps, dances, sings, writes, composes, arranges, comes up with all these cool ideas like Minnie's Thai intro, and if she gets a chance to diss rap on a future episode, RIP to whoever is on the receiving end. IDLE is a talented group but not more than any of the other groups participating. In fact, I'd say OMG and Mamamoo are the best all round groups, but Soyeon is so OP, she can almost hard carry them to the finish line.

OMG and Lovelyz would've benefited if their agencies spent a little more money on their stages, there was nothing wrong with their performance but seemed very normal while those 3 had special effects, props, backup dancers and everything

Tbh, I don't think i have watched lot of AOA's performances before. But it's true, sometimes with senior groups even if you don't care about their concept or song that much you can just see their seniority and work in the way they perform, stage presence is just different. They did rly well.

That was the issue with OMG and Lovelyz stages to me as well, nth was wrong with them but it was bit like watching music show performances when others were closer to award show performances if that makes sense. They went with too simple approach, and tbh I also think mixing Achoo with sexy concept didn't quite work.

Oh you absolutely must watch AOA performances, although Choa and Mina are big losses, esp coz Choa used to be main vocal and one of the most prominent and popular members
