U can level a character to 20 with a trial account but that's the only free thing. You have to buy the game (which is gonna be whichever expansion the game is currently in), I also preordered the next expansion since it's only 6 months away, and on top of that it's a £10 monthly subscription. The base game is £40, and the preorder for the next expansion was £20. I played on my dad's account since I was 10 so it's been a decade and all of my achievements and stuff were under his account except we couldn't play at the same time so recently I bought my own subscription, it's all under my dad's account so we can share account wide things like achievements and mounts but we can play at the same time since we're paying seperately now. I bought a package that had the base game, pre order, and one month sub along with a few extra things like a mount and the total was £74.
Oh wow, I guess your really committed to world of Warcraft then lmao. I was always under the assumption that it was free and that they made their money off of micro currencies in a cash shop. Do you like rpgs? I’ve been super into them lately, I just finished the Witcher 3 with 100 hrs of gameplay.
Idk if I like rpgs honestly, cuz I only really like world of warcraft eheh. They do have a shop where you can buy mounts and pets that are only available from the store and mounts are like £19 I think whereas pets are £9 each (which I may or may not have bought 4 of... because they were cats) but yeah most of their money comes from the monthly sub. It sounds really expensive to some people but we've had so many expansions now and there's so much content within the game now that it really is just like a 2nd reality as cringey as that sounds. I think it would be hard for new players to get into without having a friend or something to introduce them to it but once you're in you're staying there for the most part.

True, a lot of people have been complaining about that. I think Nintendo will have to fix that because animal crossing is getting review bombed by mad players. But it’s never been a big problem for me considering nobody else in my family cares for animal crossing lol.
I hope they fix it cause I think it's just greedy business practice. It's not normal for games to limit themselves like that, usually every account in Playstation etc. gets to experience full game. There shouldn't be any reason why they have to do that. So I think they do deserve those review bombs, they are just annoying players for no reason other than greed.
I thought animal crossing was the type of game where you have finite things you can do each day.. Did that change?
