(G)I-DLE's Soyeon reportedly set to leave Cube Entertainment

According to an exclusive media outlet report on October 25 KST, exclusive contract negotiations between (G)I-DLE's Soyeon and Cube Entertainment have ultimately fallen through. The idol has decided to part ways with her debut label and will be seeking a new agency.

It's known that Soyeon's exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment is due to expire in November, the earliest of any (G)I-DLE member. Leading up to the renewal, Soyeon was seen expressing her discontentment with Cube Entertainment, causing fans to guess that the idol did not intend on staying with the label.

Meanwhile, Soyeon debuted as a solo act in November of 2017 before debuting as a member of (G)I-DLE in May of 2018.

According to an exclusive report from Xportnews, Soyeon and Cube Entertainment recently held discussions regarding a potential contract renewal but the talks did not result in an agreement. Thus, Soyeon and Cube Entertainment are expected to part ways once their current contract expires.

Back in August, Soyeon sparked rumors of her discord with Cube Entertainment during her performance at (G)I-DLE’s concert.

Cube Entertainment has stated they are still in discussions with Soyeon.

Idk if soyeon signing as consulting producer works for CUBE/soyeon/gidle or not. Or soyeon goes solo out of CUBE n still plays same role in GIDLE until the other members decide if they would resign or not. Not sure if Yuqi, Minnie n Shuhua stay in Korea if not resigning with CUBE n remaining in gidle. Could miyeon be last woman standing in CUBE?

its a bit confusing bc i dont know a dam thing about contracts tbh, but she had two separate contracts for solo and group
her solo contract is ending, but her group contract is still ongoing until may.
so she'll still be with the (g)i-dle as a group, but solo activities with cube no longer
