gosh the srgnator drama is heating up,, someone showed screenshots of this fanbase's admin's gc where they bashed nct, superm, and armys
and then they just rebranded and went private using their (stolen) art :///
people are also saying they bashed yjm at some point, but I can't find any proof of that

At this point i am really starting to wonder if the chick in charge really is behind the girls at all.
At least 23 boys have debuted
every bg is super represented with releases this year, sure exo is sub units or solos but a chunk are in the army and that plays with stuff.
So even in the year of covid they still keep cranking out bg.

Taeyeon has a digital song with 2 versions
as did Hyoyeon.
and RV had a sub unit that sold twice it normal volume.
Joy has an ost that still charts.

none of that was good enough for more

no snsd unit
fx is vapor
there seems to be nada about a full rv cb

All that has happened with the ngg is known members leaving, despite sm talking them up at repeated shareholder meetings.

The real problem is the longer they delay the worse it will be for the kids.
The amount of pressure will be stupid.
if they do not have BP like debut numbers folks will be so on the flop train it will make RV and NCT look like rainbows and unicorns.
And they won't because that has never been sm's model.

Folks are busy pushing Irene in to her grave because she will be 30 next year.

I know they're all gonna renew but still I feel like 7 years is a long ass time for a big company like SM to go without debuting a new girl group...

Yep this is why folks are soooo antsy, and there is all the drama.

It is by far the longest SM has gone between groups.
They did some groups in the early 2000's that failed but that was a bit more about the market just being crazy hard especially for girls.

SNSD was successful and had blown all the way up with gee and genie and they still dropped f(x).
The gg wave was riding high and SM is on the sidelines.

They have to pray that RV resigns and is great because it has been a LONG time since sm dropped a monster out of the gate.

LSM has been proved right NCT worked maybe not as fast as he wanted but its a machine now.

I also think that a really strong vocal group could work in the current market in Korea, like Mamamoo but with SM visuals...

That is almost RV its just their #3 is not quite as good as mmm although Rv are far better dancers. At least RV are required to dance more even having choro for OOTN.

The market for vocal only is so narrow they have to add dancers.
Zero of RV's pure vocal tracks have done well in Korea.
Heck few of SNSD's did and they are ballad monsters.

Joy has a tone/color that folks really like, but it leans to trot/folk.

MMM is the exception vocal only groups have not done well. Spica, Bestie, heck BEG had to go hard /sexy and still they were mid tier.

I think at best they would end up with something RV/ MMM popularity.
As a company they are the most dance focused. I can not seem them dropping the in house dance standard.
They tried a crazy good female vocal group The Grace it crashed and burned.

The Grace was MMM baring rap with a crazy dancer.

Lina is still the best female vocal SM has had.

It's funny how every SM girl group seems to be fashioned after the boy group that debuted directly before them until RV... Do you think SM decided not to make a female EXO after the trouble they had with the China line or do you think that was never on the table in the first place?
