Akmu, we'll left too because Suhyun was treated like shit and they are too good to be link to a bad agency like YG

Winner and ikon don't bring enough money

their only big sources will be Blackpink but with all their lost they'll lose tons of money and they'll not be able to make other MV like BP was used to do, and the quality of MV and song will be less good and they'll start to lose some support and BP will not be enough to make YG survive

I'm afraid though that in time people will forget all the shady stuff that have been going on at YG, and I'd believe many fans don't want to vote with their wallet as their favourite artists take a hit in the process. Although I do hope that the groups and trainees can terminate their contracts and find a better agency, as apparently YG can't handle all of them even without the recent controversies.

But yeah, even if BP was enough to bring them money, it must be hard to get new trainees at the moment with that reputation.

• I think everyone underestimates the amount of money iKON brings in from Japan tbh
• The new boy group has 4 Japanese members so they will probably do well there too.
• You've also not taken into account that the Big Bang members all hold a lot of stocks in YG so even if they don't really want to regroup as 4 when they get out of the army, they will probably have to for business reasons whether they like it or not. If YG as a company goes under then they all lose a big chunk of their individual fortunes as well.
• Black Pink seem to have a chance at breaking into the US market and BTS has shown how lucrative that can be for a company!
• You might be right about AKMU not wanting to renew their contracts but they should still have a year or two left before it expires and they are big money makers for YG also.

I kinda agree with what you said about BB, Seungri+TOP+Gd=finally dead. But that group has a implausible respawn count so idk.

I think the music quality is gonna stay the same. They still have Teddy and probably dozens of songs recorded predebut, and the KTL video looks really good despite being filmed last minute. They're a plenty of producers wanting to work with a Big Name Act.

What matters is how management operates, because Blackpink could potentially save the company, they just need to be managed BETTER and MORE. YG's greed method is gonna tank that company.

It's not officially over yet. SM has been there twice and they preserved through mediaplay and better promotion of their other acts.

Not any individual controversy done by an idol but there have been plenty of pile ups due to management, which is worse. The countless slave contracts, lawsuits, blacklisting scandals, one of their biggest acts just up and walking away, they endured for decades.
Lee Sooman has had his own fair share of tax evasion scandals and embezzlement controversy.
SM stocks were actually in worse shit four years ago than YG was one month ago.
The public said they'd boycott GD, they didn't
