have gg choreos stagnated? (1 Viewer)

I've been on a dance practice youtube spree and I thought about this...

It's been long since a gg choreo REALLY wowed me. Since I saw a gg dance that when I watched it I felt something or I looked at it and went WOW.
Compared to the boygroups who seem to be always trying to outdo each other, I see a startling lack of variety in girlgroup ones...

I dunno, but the GG choreos mostly don't make me feel anything. I just go yeah it's a choreo when I see them. I haven't seen one where I want to watch it again and again just to catch the little details in a long time! (I think the last one might've been one of Gfriends early releases)

So what do you think about this?

I do have a few dance practices I keep returning to, but there are a few choreos from my GG faves that aren't any of their songs which I prefer to look at most of the time, but tbf I don't care too much about choreo at the end of the day

Maybe I've just gotten used to that amount of perfection from Gfriend and that's why it doesn't wow me anymore... I dunno why, but for some time now for me while the Gfriend choreos have been good, they haven't taken my breath away. They haven't surprised me.

I feel differently. I personally haven’t been impressed much by bg choreography ( last I think was SHINee‘s Good Evening)

gg choreography tho really got me good. Like OMG‘s SSFWL is one amazing choreo, fromis_9 fun! is lovely af and indeed fun to watch, Gfriend killed it with Sunrise anf Fever. Zimzalabim is one amazing choreography too.

I definitely get this. GG choreography's have never really been as intense as BG's, probably to prevent any issues if they perform during their menstrual cycle.

Chaeyeon is the best dancer of this generation, but DO NOT remind me of the catastrophy that was Buenos Aires!

I did really like Loona's Butterfly choreo

The dance break was alright... but the song is awful and the album is even worse! I hope they do better with Vampire...

This choreo has some elements I really like, but overall it is still lacking something for me.

yeah I guess. I personally adore more artsy performances, dances that are more elegant in a way.

I like emotionally powerful performances or choreos that are really unique.
Elegant is good, but I feel like that is the style of choreo most groups are going for these days...

it depends. with elegent I mean something that OMG does which isn’t that much being used.
