Top 10 talented female idols (3rd gen) (1 Viewer)

I made a list- the definitive, top 10 well rounded female idols from the current gen. The only list that matters. /sarcasm.

Ok, these are just my opinions so subjective AF. BUT I've tried to exclude my personal biases from ranking the girls. As you'll see my fav group is Twice but there aren't any Twice members in this list.

Criteria used: Vocals, dancing, rapping, visuals, personality, variety skills, marketability, charisma, crossover appeal into acting and other factors.

I've tried to avoid success as a parameter coz then it'll be just Big 3 girls being spammed again and again.

One needn't be talented in EVERYTHING, but being good in multiple areas is definitely useful. And yes, there can be arguments that visuals and personality aren't really talents, but imo they're still aspects of the idol life that matter a lot, so I've tried including everything to come up with a Top 10 list. Feel free to disagree or post your own, no bashing please.

This is pretty good actually. I had Eunbi over Wonyoung since she's good at everything imo, Kyulkyung over Nayoung although I bias Stone Nayoung lol and Wheein/Hwasa over Solar although all of Mamamoo is talented.
We both have Chungha at 3 and although I have Sejeong at 2, she goes up to #1 multiple times anyway lol. Pretty similar list I'm shocked

Well, I chose Wonyoung cause well, being loved enough to be the center means you've got things to some extent set already, and must mean something beyond just being young, though her age means a lot of chance to expand and develop her talents more so than someone older, especially when her popularity is already set.

I'm holding Kyulkyung's nationality against her in terms of Korea, and therefore her prospects in Korea generally against her, therefore her ability to showcase, and develop her variety skills as limited in terms of appearing solo.

I did pick Solar above Wheein and Hwasa due to her generally more popular/conventional visuals, as well as being the face of the group and more representative of Mamamoo in general, so their talents kind of flow over onto her as their leader, while also being considered the main vocalist of the group.

But yea, lists are pretty similar.

I think that this generation has really strong females. So much talent. I do think Dreamcatcher as a whole is one heck of a talented gg. I probably would have added SuA somewhere in the list since she can sing, raps, is a dancing maschine and has such a beautiful personality.

Idk, I've never gotten the Wonyoung hype personally, she is very charming of course but she's still just 14 and I'm not too sure how good is her singing and dancing, plus I always get the feeling that Ahn Yujin will end up being the next it-girl from IZONE but I could be wrong.

Agreed about Kyulkyung, she'll likely become big in China like Victoria or Luhan, but if Korea gives her a chance, she can blow up there too- her Korean is the best among all foreign idols, even better than some native speakers lol.

I don't know if I have a definitive list, but Hwasa, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Solar would be on there, Chungha and Seulgi as well. Yezi, Soyeon, and LE dominate the songwriting, rapping, and charisma factor.

I'm now thinking just "talented" wasn't the most accurate word I had in mind. I mean yes I did rank all of them according to overall talent, but also in terms of how good an idol they are- like idols are held up to different standards by different people in Korea and internationally, they are expected to act as role models, get people's love and support, be multifaceted and do well in areas outside music too, not be problematic etc. So my list is like a compilation of girls who I think are just great all around.

Tbf, Wheein and Hwasa can sometimes be seen as problematic lol but their sheer talent overcomes that, so I put them in anyway. Idk if I'm being able to explain my criteria well haha.

I'm now thinking just "talented" wasn't the most accurate word I had in mind. I mean yes I did rank all of them according to overall talent, but also in terms of how good an idol they are- like idols are held up to different standards by different people in Korea and internationally, they are expected to act as role models, get people's love and support, be multifaceted and do well in areas outside music too, not be problematic etc. So my list is like a compilation of girls who I think are just great all around.

Tbf, Wheein and Hwasa can sometimes be seen as problematic lol but their sheer talent overcomes that, so I put them in anyway. Idk if I'm being able to explain my criteria well haha.

I think most people tend to overlook Wheein and Hwasa for their "problematic" scandals due to their talent, not that the scandals were that bad anyway. But Mamamoo are consistently praised for their variety presence.

In that case, Hani is a great variety star and a decent singer, so I would say she's a great idol, but not sure if she can compete with everyone else for talent.

Yeah Hani is like the perfect idol too, I was just confused on whether to count EXID as 3rd gen or not lol. But Sejeong is like Hani's daughter in a way and I put her haha, Hani's dancing is better while Sejeong is the better singer. Otherwise they're pretty much everything an idol should be.
