i would give them some blame because i expect more from them. (like i was not fond of rbb for personal reasons, but they executed it well)
But its true they are more experienced, but its not like Somi is some virgin act.

She is 18 an adult and can not skip out on her responsibilities, she is alone out there and should have know this would reflect on her. At the end of the day while its a train wreck, hopefully all involved learn and get their act together.

This is also part of the price of being solo its like being quarterback, you get the praise and the blame no matter who makes the mistake.

I was accepting of her in pd 101 / IOI respected most of the other girls more for carving out a space.
I had some interest in her in a group.
She has nice variety sense i just dislike the style of music she likes, so her as a soloist is well outside of my music taste range.

Its certainly a failure of leadership which seems very common particularly at the yg labels.
obviously none of them have learned how to hire good folks and delegate. This is particularly obvious with as as well as jyp has done itin the past 4 years.

The Black Label main purpose is to serve as a production house, similar to what Big Hit used to be to JYP, who was also under resourced to properly provide for their artists in the early years.

In general, BL doesnt have a lot to show for itself considering it's only a few years old and has only one other artist with different needs than what Somi requires
This is a hiccup, not everything is Papa YG's criminal agenda, I just hope Teddy installs a team able to properly manage Somi in the future.
My main concern is her being able to have a consistent releases if she wants to rely on Teddy

not anti yg. My point was that it seems to be a trend, they are horrid leaders who love to make all the calls. That is super hard to do well(at a point it becomes impossible) and a very painful lesson all bosses must learn to become leaders.

Honestly, the first one makes sense since JYP just so happened to make a statement claiming that all trainee's who violate the rules get kicked RIGHT after she left.

May be that's a shade. Then we will be thinking she did something bad. Or may be she contact agencies that like to offer her solo career. It's like showing back to JYPE.
I really don't like her song. But it has it's own vibe. Pretty awkward look. But it don't annoy me at all. So it's ok. Anyway 'outta my head' is the type that really suits her in my opinion.

if somi was to stay in jyp then she wouldn't be debuting. and if she did debut as a soloist then she would most likely be treated like shit if im gonna be honest. look at jyp and then look at how their soloists are treated vs their groups? it's shit. the black label debuted somi as a soloist and also gave her a lot of say in the creative process, something she most likely wouldn't have gotten if she debuted in jyp. the black label is still pretty new and with everything thats been going on with their main label lately... I kinda understand why some problems might be occurring. but it's not somis fault, she's trying her best here. and yall are acting like birthday is her only song when she has this really good bside, outta my head (which she took part in writing lyrics and composing as well)...

I really liked Somi’s debut and the b-side slaps. I’m just glad she’s finally debuted after being in so many temporary groups and JYP’s dungeon.

I know there’s still speculation Somi got kicked out, but to me, her departure from JYP seemed pretty amicable. It seems like there’s a weird double standard here. When Sunmi and Suzy left, all was good and they were heavily supported. But when Somi left, all hell broke lose and company stans attacked her.

I still think she would go better together with group than being solo artist, and with group I mean JYP group not YG one.

That said I think the debut was quite high quality, sth I expect from YG. The concept was fun, mv included lot of good concepts and was whimsical at times showing Somi's personality. It was mv for someone rather young and fun and it fit her well. I liked the song, but for some reason I feel like it didn't fit Somi exactly the verses sounded good, but it didn't sound like her "real voice" rather than her trying to fit to that style.

In terms of creative control. YGE gives no such option to BP or the future boy group, so I guess this most be a BlackLabel thing.

The song I don't like it. TBH I feel like Teddy's quality of music has gone down or it simply isn't as special as it once was. The songs WINNER and IKON produced independently of Teddy has been great. Whistle is still in my opinion BlackPink's best produced song and that was not on Teddy. Even Crush and Kill this Love which are similar, I think Crush is composed better and fits the 2NE1 members voices more. What You Waiting For by R.Tee is much more interesting then Birthday and Kill this Love. IDK maybe I'm too use to Teddy but I think the younger artist would benefit from new blood and new ideas that are more unique to their artistry and not left overs from the models that fit BIGBANG X 2NE1 like a glove.

Of course this debut was rushed lol. YGE has to shove out Somi and Lee Hi (hell maybe AKMU) to create money to try to fill the massive hole these criminal cases blew open. This is especially evident for Somi who wasn't even ready for a performance at her own showcase, somehting I've never seen in 4 years of being into Kpop.

If the song was for cl then its been around forever, for sure they had an initial choro, or at least a LARGE amount of time to come up with one. She has already proved fast at learning dances, so i am super skeptical about the story. Do something, stand there and sing if ya have to that is a creative decision too.

Yeah I can tell you that wouldn't be the case. YGE is the type to make a single and never ever do anything with it. Minzy and CL have whole albums just wasting away. Plus according to Diplo it was only a song on the EP and not a title so it probably didn't have cheorgaphy. Like I highly doubt CL even got to make dances to all her songs before YGE locked her away and ate the key.
