You've Been Framed!!
Oh no, you've been framed for a crime! Now you're sitting in a jail cell waiting for your chance to prove your innocence.
It gets worse, you got bonked on the head so hard that you forgot what crime you are accused of committing, oh dear oh dear
But in this land you don't get sentenced by a judge or a jury, you prove your innocence yourself!
How is that? By figuring out what you were imprisoned for in the first place, of course.
RULES
Each day there is a daily quest or a mini game that will have a time frame of completion, each must be completed in 24 hours but the user starts the "time" by alerting the hosts
that they are ready for their quest/game.
Each successful completion of the daily quest or mini game will give you 1 clue to what you've been imprisoned for.
Users SHOULD NOT talk about their daily quests nor the answers to the mini game until AFTER the event has been completed.
HOW IT WORKS
In the case of a daily quest, each user receives a different one that the hosts will pm to them
In the case of it being a mini game, it can be posted in a public thread however the user will post their answers in a private dm with the hosts.
Their time frame starts when the hosts create a dm with them, asking for verification they are ready.
On one day, an extra mini game may be posted (it'll be difficult) and the user who completes it successfully and dms the answers to the host will receive an extra hint.
WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF A CRIME?
The crimes should be silly and extremely exaggerated.
Here is an example of a crime that a user FALSELY committed, they can be made more or less complicated based on the Events Teams discretion
"While climbing a tree, [User] accidentally knocked over a beehive and the bees attacked a bear.
The bear chased [User] around and into a cafe proceeded to destroy a teapot from the owners dead grandma"
WHAT ARE SOME HINTS THAT A USER COULD RECEIVE?
Here are the examples of hints that a user would receive upon completing their daily quest
1. It involves a bear
2. You were chased by that bear
3. A heirloom teapot from someone's dead grandmother
4. You knocked over a beehive from a tall height, what were you doing?
5. The "crime" ended in a cafe
HOW DOES THE USER GUESS THEIR CRIME?
On the final day, everyone submits a "warrant" for their arrest via a Google Form made by the hosts.
In this they must tell the hosts what crime they committed.
HOW DO WE JUDGE?
As it is likely that more than one user will get the answer correct (though to circumvent you can make the hints more vague),
Innocence Points are calculated too and are given out
for the completion of daily quests and mini games.
Day 1: Daily Quest +500 IP for completion
Day 2: Mini Game +??? IP for completion (another that can be dependent on results)
Day 3: Daily Quest +??? IP for completion (dependent)
Day 4: Mini Game +500 IP for completion
Day 5: Daily Quest +500 IP for completion
Day 6: Users use a Google Form to fill out their "warrant"
WHAT ARE DEM PRIZES?
The top three with the most accurate answer and the most points will be given prizes (The whole point of this game is based on adding new frames to the forum)
1. A custom frame per request by Mayday + free badge of choice or 1 random card from generator
2. A custom frame per request by Mayday
3. A custom frame per request by Mayday
These frames will be added to existing pool of choices for future users to use, however maybe they can be named after the user who won or something? The "Mayday" frame for example? Probably have to ask Graphics Team
ANY IDEAS FOR DAILY QUESTS OR MINI GAMES?
DAY 3 DAILY QUEST IDEA: One of the daily quests could be this in order to encourage the "framed" idea.
Users will dm a custom frame idea to an Events member privately of course, Mayday will provide a tutorial on how she designs frames if the user would like to try and create their own, otherwise just the idea is fine
The Events member will anonymously send all of the ideas to Mayday and Yili to rank objectively. Points will be awarded based on ranking that day.
Example: 10 users compete
1st place 500 IP
2nd place 475 IP
3rd 450 IP
4th 400
5th 350
6th 300
7th 250
8th 200
9th 150
10th 100
