NCT Resonance has two parts, Resonance pt 1 came out in October 2020 and Resonance pt 2 came out 4 days ago (December 18th), I suppose the numbers are for the pt 1.

NCT 127 Neo Zone came out in March 2020.

that´s amazing seeing Seventeen so high!!! You don´t hear about them often. I feel like they are not as hyped as NCT or the girl groups and yet they are doing brilliantly well. I´m a casual listener, but I never miss their variety, they are really entertaining and seem like a good bunch. makes my little heart happy for them ♥.

Baekhyun, the only solo artist in the chart. that´s why he is the king ♥. But all his success is so well-deserved. He works like crazy.

I think NCT figures are just for Resonance Pt.1 and Pt.2.
Mind you, both these albums are still selling so this number will only go up. But this doesn't count any 127, Dream or WayV sales.

Then you have NCT 127, their sales numbers are just Neozone plus the repackage. NCT Dream also sold 600-700K copies I think, and idk WayV numbers so overall NCT sold quite a lot in 2020, this is def their breakout year

Seventeen I think has a bigger fandom in Korea/Japan while NCT fandom is bigger among i-fans/western fans, so we don't see or hear as much from Carats compared to NCTzens lol. But they're absolutely insane, tbh their gp recognition still isn't that much but they have a very big and very loyal fandom and they've started from such humble beginnings- watching their success now is pretty awesome.

that might explain it! because I don´t see people going crazy over them, but I also hear lots of positive talk about the fandom. Carats are known as calm, loving and kind. I feel I should be sorted in that house :D.

Last I saw was Resonance Pt.2 crossing 550K on Hanteo, not sure about Gaon. But sometimes they release these numbers early before the next chart update, since they’ve certified NCT as double million sellers already so maybe that’s it

i saw 2.8 numbers for resonance 1.6 and 1.2 it think. in the 5million selling thread on akp.

Yeah although they only showing 550K on Hanteo so far so I think that number will be reflected in the next Gaon update. They sometimes release these news early like Loona reaching 100K or Resonance part 1 breaking 1 million when the last update was like 800K.

Yep i remembered it because ppl were saying part one sold 2x pt 2 because of T but i was like that is not 2x lol.

BTW Everyone should just admit sooman sempi was right and we all were wrong :)
Its hard with all the instant success that other agencies go for and produce bg especially get that SM lives on We are in for the long haul.
2-4 years they do not care.

I suspect they are very happy with RV (not that they would turn down Twice/bp numbers ofc :) )

Yep considering both Resonance Pt. 1 and 2, and Neozone sold over a million, that's 3 albums with 1M plus in a single calendar year. NCT's start has been slow and they still don't have a real hit song that everyone knows (although Kick It did pretty well this year), but LSM has made himself a big time money making machine. Considering they can still be around in 5-10 years when most other boy groups of this generation start winding down, it's scary lol.

NCT were called flops because they couldn't attain the instant success that other SM bgs got quite fast into their career. NCT took 4 years to take off. I am not sure what led to such massive fandom growth this year but good for them.
Actually nct system is great in many ways. Counters the enlistment. One dude goes away but another is waiting to take his place.
