To belong is what we all want
sometimes we don't get there
sometimes we do

invasion of the senses, our privacy is long gone
not one to hold a grudge
not one to be the martyr of a situation

when I was younger the wind was my friend
its touch irreversible on my resolve
too involved in my own life, to care about anyone else's
besides yours
besides yours
love never lasts
heart shattered like glass
to keep a straight face when a promise is broken
trying to mend the hourglass of my own past
masking the pain is hard
masking my identify harder
I left behind so many things
so many wings torn asunder
the clouds are listening
to all that is buried within the castle
to cast out evil is my endless ambition
on a mission to end the curse I possess
forever restless, as I submit to my maker

I did and though I may not come out officially as indigenous. (You get benefits here if you do)
I still class myself as aboriginal in that sense.
